To support our partners, the Zonta Club of Sanibel-Captiva conducts a major fundraiser each year called A PEEK at the Unique: A Tour of Island Homes. It begins at a central location on the island where PEEKers, as our guests are called, enjoy yummy snacks donated by local restaurants, grocers, and other island businesses. They need to build strength to prepare for the approximately three-hour tour! At their appointed hour (buses leave every half hour from 9am to 3pm), PEEKers get on the bus and are transported to four unique homes around the islands. En route, the bus captain educates the guests about Zonta and (hopefully) entertains with anecdotes about the houses and the islands.
At each home, a speaker, knowledgeable about what makes the house unique, leads PEEKers through. Then it’s back to the real world!
The monies raised by the PEEK are granted by the Zonta Foundation of Southwest Florida to local and international organizations that are consistent with the Zonta mission: to advance the status of women and girls worldwide. In 2009, the PEEK raised almost $80,000 through ticket sales and sponsorships.
TICKET INFORMATION
Tickets for the Peek become available about 30 days prior to the event. If you attended last year's Peek, and we have your address, you will receive an advance postcard telling you of this year's date, along with a form to order tickets. If you get the postcard, you should respond as soon as possible so that you can purchase your tickets before the ticket sale is open to the public. About 30 days before the event, the phone number for the ticket line is published in the paper and on our website and the ticket line will be opened. Tickets can be paid for by credit card or check. Once payment is received, your tickets will be mailed to you for a specific bus time. Tickets go fast, so place your order as soon as feasible.

Key to a successful Peek are the businesses and individuals that are sponsoring the event. Sponsorships are offered at various levels, from an overall event, house, coupon, and program sponsors. Businesses receive various levels of press associated with Zonta's Zeek before, during, and after the event. Look for information about the various sponsorship options available. in the Announcement section below.
"CHANCE AT THE UNIQUE" RAFFLE INFORMATION
As part of the Peek fundraiser, Zonta sponsors a "Chance at the Unique" raffle of unique prizes. Tickets are sold by Zontians during the two months prior to the Peek. Winners will be drawn at the conclusion of Peek day (winners do not need to be present to win). Look for the poster in the Announcement Section below for details about the prizes and how to buy tickets.
